Jesus is the Creator of the universe. He is the Saviour of the world. He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings.

Jesus was born just a little over 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem, near Jerusalem. As a toddler He lived in Egypt, returning with His parents to a tiny village in northern Israel called Nazareth as a young boy. Trained as a carpenter's son, Jesus began a 3 year, world-shattering, ministry at the age of 30. Jesus was a preacher, a healer, an exorcist, and a miracle worker. In spite of His overwhelming popularity among the people, Jesus was crucified to death, condemned by His enemies as a religious heretic and political agitator. Three days after His burial, Jesus' body went missing and has not been found to this day.

Over 500 eyewitness accounts report to have seen Jesus raised back to life (1 Corinthians 15:1-8). Among those who report to have seen the resurrected Jesus is Paul, who had been an enemy and murderer of the early Church until he saw Jesus with his own eyes (Acts 8:1-3, Acts 9, 1 Timothy 1:12-17). We believe this testimony to be true and understand the death and resurrection of Jesus to be the turning point of human history.

The resurrection of Jesus validates His ministry. Throughout His ministry, Jesus claimed to be the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. When a full study of the Bible is taken into consideration, it becomes evident that though fully human in every way, Jesus is also fully God in every way. Together with God the Father and the Holy Spirit, Jesus is the One God of all creation. Having lived a perfect life without any sin, Jesus died in the place of sinners, receiving the wrath of God that sinners rightly deserve. Therefore, when anyone, drawn by the Holy Spirit and the power of His grace, believes in Jesus and sets their love upon Him, Jesus takes their sin, bears their punishment, and dies their death. In return, Jesus gives the believer forgiveness, a right standing before God, and eternal life (John 3:14-18). Just as Jesus was raised back to life, those who trust in Him will be bodily resurrected to live forever with Him.
